Gunslingers
The streets of Mariposa will be transported to the wild and woolly Gold Rush era, with roaming gunfighters and other colorful characters
and Costume Contest
Local merchants dressed in a variety period costumes will compete for 'best dressed' of the day! Dress up yourself and come on down!
Mariposa Museum and History Center
At the heart of downtown, this award winning local historical museum will demonstrate their operating gold rush era stamp mill at two times during the festival, at 11:30 AM and 2 PM.

Dummy Roping
Come watch a roping demo, then here is your child's chance to show off their skills in our Dummy Roping Championship! The competition will start at 1pm in the Mariposa Arts Park. We will start with the 4-6 years olds and then the 7-9 year olds. First place from each age group will win a Bob Berg Buckle!

History Talks
As you wander through town, take time out to hear a story from Old Mariposa, and possibly encounter a Mariposa ghost. At the end of the day, visit the Oddfellows Hall for a deeper dive into Mariposa History.
In use since 1851, the courthouse is the oldest in California and the oldest in the US continually in use west of the Rocky Mountains. A short walk up the hill from town, and not to be missed.

Gold Panning
Amateur or more serious competition. Kids and adults. Participate in this past and present Mariposa activity.
Live music by Ron Rodgers and the Last Chance Saloon Band, Jason Ellis, and 82 Deluxe from High Noon to 7:30 PM, and DJ Bret Wice all day.
